Over the last 10 years I have been running iSeries IBM as a server for the enterprise network. One of IBM’s own software products is Lotus Notes. I can remember when Lotus was on PC’s. Now the folks of Phase 2 international, as Saas provider has joined together with IBM to create a suite of enterpise products. This products is call Lotus On-Demand, consisting of email messageing, secure instant messaging, corporate social network and document sharing. This looks like some great tools for the enterpise. It even is integrated with thirteen social networking sites consisting of Web 2.0 widgets that can be drag and dropped in you page. Simple, amazing how technology makes is easy now to utilize the internet on the enterprise. Other features added have been visual studio team foundation server, this would have come in handy on my last visual project. If you do alot of project managment there is project server hosting feature to maintain information on that next project. If you like to manage their is a team foundation server workgroup that give you permission managment, source control with MS Project integration.
