I have been getting several requests on how-to blog and start getting into blogging. Then I thought that the old saying : It is better to teach you How-to Fish that it is to give you the fish. Once you have the skill, you can continue to feed yourself. Ok I am game for that. So I started on the side bar a list of blogging tools:

The first allows you to purchase a domain name for your blog, remember to use key words in your blog domain that goes with the theme of you blog content. Then get some cheap hosting for your blog, you can normally get domain name and blog hosting together at a good price.

If you want to go the free blogging route I have included two world famous websites, blogger and wordpress. Both are good at providing you a free blog and bloggers do make money with them. The one you are reading now is a self hosted wordpress blog.  I started out using blogger.com free service many years ago with I frist started out in blogging.  Just know you are at the wheems of Blogger and WordPress on what you can and cannot put on your blog.  A few months ago Google pulled the plug on many Blogger accounts just because they wanted to. There was some made up reason for it.   As I have mentioned there is nothing wrong starting out with a free blog but over time I have found that it is best to purchase your own so you can keep all you content together on you site and after years in the search engine your domain that you own will get higher ranked.  One key to search engine ranking is for your blog to be old,  the older the getter as time goes along.

Once you site is ready start blogging about your topic and just keep blogging, everyday would be good from being found in the search engines, once a week is good, the idea is just to talk about your blog subject and make posts. The traffic will come.  Also keep reading everything you can get your hand on blogging.  Over time you accumulated knowledge will create you into the blogger that you will become.

I have people ask me how to get into blogging. Here are some insights that I aquired over time.

Blogging is cheap to get into and take part. Blogging has turned me into entrepreneur. With blogging you will learning and expand your knowledge in many subjects.

A. Learn the basics of blogging by using a free platform such as WordPress.com or Blogger.com. This is very easy to setup and start, all you need is an email. A free blog account has limitations with how you can monetize a site(place ads). If you want to be a serious blogger you will need to get a domain and web hosting service. Pick a domain with a keyword of what your blog will be about. Hosting services has become very cheap and offer good service.

B. Register your own domain and sign up with a cheap blog hosting plan. This will give you the freedom as a blogger to monetize your site fully will benefit you by using a solid and cheap hosting provider. I have noticed that there are many places to get cheap domain registration and blog hosting.

C. Download and set up the WordPress application in your hosted environment. Your web host provider can assist you with install wordpress blogging software. Then go to google search and search for a blog theme by color or keyword. Pick many themes and test them out to get the look you want for your blog. You can get professional made themes for under $100. Suggest go free until you make some money

Start off small and be patient as you get used to how blogging works and read/learn everything you can get your hands on dealing with blogging.

Over the last several months money seems to getting harder and harder to come by over the internet.  I have been able to make money by monetizing your blog consistantly on a monthly basis.  I have been trying to make money without Google Adsense, but no avail.  Only pennies. Anyone making good money from non-adsense type programs???.  Have been selling products, mostly small ticket items, very few big money items. It must be the economy.

Leads have been coming in consistently but fewer than a year ago.  But the leads look alot better, more information on what they are wanting to enable a better quote.  Have a lead generating site??? How are leads doing???  Making  enough money to covers costs of you website and maintenance?

Anyway you might have to put in more effort or working to generate income you have been used to, it is all good, the harder work with strengthen you blog and make it better over the years to come. So it is a Win-Win stuation for you.  SEO will be the key to alot of your traffic and income needs.
