There are so many people traveling these days the currency exchange offices must be running crazy. We have friends that have traveled many times in the past few months and each time they have had to do a currency exchange. It must be fascinating to work with currency from many different countries. I do not think I would enjoy working with the pressure of exchange that is constantly going on but it would be exciting. It would be fun to see the many people that are traveling to different foreign places. I am not one much for traveling abroad as our friends are but hearing their adventures and seeing their pictures is a lot of fun. On their last trip they gave our children some Holiday Money that they kept just for them. They will always think that is the greatest thing.

When we went on a trip a couple of years ago we had to do the whole Pound to Dollar Exchange Rates thing so we could have the right money to spend on our trip. Our children were taken back by the different kinds of money and how they correlate with each other. This became a big part of our trip as we visited different countries for the children to watch as we changed the money in for the currency of the country we were about to enter. I think that this became as important to them as the sights that we saw. Today you can ask them about different sights we saw and they may hesitate but if you ask them about different rates of exchange you will get a quick answer every time! It does not matter how much you try to teach your children about every thing so they are familiar with as much as possible when they actually see it done they seem to learn more and it sticks with them better. I guess this confirms the saying that your mouth too fast may go but the knowledge your hands teach they will know. I have a sign in our classroom in our home that reads my hands are my best teacher and this is also a confirmation of that.
