I have worked in many different places and one thing that they all had in common is everyone always dreaded inventory time. We all knew it was coming and dreaded it every time. I think that the best creation from the world of software would have to be inventory software. It is so time saving and I think much more accurate to have the right software keep up with the inventory constantly. Dealing with spread sheets on inventory is a lot different then dealing with computer inventory tracking. We would have to shut the business down for three days while we did an inventory count piece by piece and it had to match the units and that costs the business money. Now our inventory time is cut in half and much easier to do thanks to our inventory software. One of the perks of inventory software will allow you to export and customize reports to your favorite spreadsheet software or to a database. Some how it all comes back to spreadsheets.
