I learned that there are so many things that can give a room a different look. One thing that can truly make a room look more updated are the lighting fixtures. I had not noticed before but your fixtures can date a room just as much as the carpet or paint color. We updated several rooms in our home and the things that I like the most out of everything we did was our light fixture choices. You can totally change the mood of a room with the lighting you put in it and the light fixtures decide how much light each light will put off.
