A friend of mine opened his own garage and wanted me to come and see it. As we drove down to see it I explained to the kids that this would be a lesson for them. This would let them see that when you first start out you do not have everything but you build up. I explained that you often start with a vision and it may take years to make that vision become actual, but you just keep going ahead. I also explained that I did not want them to say anything in a negative way. I thought they would enjoy watching as this business grew into his dream and they could watch it as it happened. We pulled up out front as we were expecting a fixer-upper as he had described it when he had bought it several months before. I think the kids mouths were as open as mine was. Not only was it beautifully done he had all of his industrial products and replacement parts all hanging in place. There were many customers wanting to be serviced and he was smiling as much as we were. I could not be prouder of him nor could I have been more happily surprised.
