Over the years, I mean decades I have had a few problems with physical issues, from breaking my foot at thirteen to getting double hernia’s at 25. I broke my foot sliding in to home plate during a baseball game. It is was not a good thing for me for many reasons first and foremost the baseball season was still going on and I was out for the season. The doctor did a good job of setting the foot and I have not noticed it giving me any trouble since then. I took off the cast in four weeks and did the rehab part of recovery myself. Now for the issue of the double hernias, this occurred on a weekend when we were moving to a new apartment. We were moving big boxes after a long day at work and what ever happened I finished up the night with hernias. The sports world injuries depend a great deal on Orthopedics. Orthopedics is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. The musculoskeletal is treated by both surgical and non-surgical means to treat trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases and infections. For me I have been lucky performing all my activities and not having to have orthopedic surgery ca or a visit from an Orthopedic surgeon. Sports medicine has come along way over the past decade.
