There are people in this world that amaze me with the things that are important to them. I have yet to understand some of them. Being the Dad to two teenage daughters fashion is the one thing that is most prevalent in our home. As many teenagers as there are in the world the fashion industry must be in a constant positive profit margin. I have asked my wife where they get some of the clothes they wear because they do not do alot of shoe or clothes shopping when we are out and she told me they do alot of it online. They see different fashions that they like and search for them online. They can look at shoes or clothing and know who makes it and usually where to get it. They will see someone in a pair of shoes they like and say”call it” the other will quickly answer some thing like marc by marc jacobs. I know they are right because I have looked up their answers and there they were in an online store called Jildor just like they said they would be. Simply amazing to me. As we get ready to go anywhere and I do mean anywhere they will look at each other for fashion approval and then envariable look at me and say you are not wearing that are you? Of course I am at the door when they say that so the answer is fairly obvious but I find myself saying no quite alot it just speeds up the process. My wife somehow gets approval from the critics but I seldom make it by. As I am leaving my room my wife will say they are not going to let you go in that. I told my wife I still remember the day when it was us that would determine what we would leave the house in but those days are long gone. Once past the fashion police I am in the car and my son has not made it yet so we always ask my daughters where is your brother and they will answer with one word like “shirt” or “pants”. I have to admit I do love it. My son just lets it happen and he does what they say. As we were leaving for a simple outing my son was again the last to get to the car and it was a “shirt’ day. My wife turned to my son as he stood by the car for fashion police approval and said ‘You are going to make some woman a wonderful husband one day.” She then looked at me with such pride in her eyes. It will be very hard when one day the fashionettas move out of our house but then I will pull out my Tee shirts and jeans but I still probably will feel guilty wearing them.
